Who Are We?
The Bissett Consulting Organization (BCO) was established in September 2025 to bring consulting to Mount Royal University. Over the summer leading up to its founding, we noticed a gap on campus. MRU has many talented and ambitious students, yet there were limited opportunities for those interested in consulting to explore the field or develop the necessary skills. BCO was created to bridge that gap.
Our mission is to provide students with the exposure, training, and experience needed to pursue careers in consulting and other strategy-focused roles. Through a combination of educational events and hands-on learning opportunities, BCO helps students build the analytical thinking, communication, and structured problem-solving skills that define successful consultants.
BCO's core programming focuses on three key areas. We host events that introduce students to the consulting industry and provide insight into the profession. Our case workshops help members develop the frameworks and problem-solving techniques used by consulting firms. Finally, our case competitions allow students to apply and sharpen these skills in a competitive environment.
As the organization grows, BCO will also provide pro bono consulting opportunities, allowing students to apply what they learn to real-world business challenges while delivering meaningful value to organizations in our community.
BCO aims to build a community of driven students who are committed to learning, collaboration, and solving complex problems.
